NOTE: PlaneBase Mobile does not contain previous registrations for aircraft, However it will show you the last registration the aircraft was logged as.
The search button is a dual function button, quick press to search for an exact registration or long press for a wildcard search.
For wildcard searches you can use % to search for anything before the entered text and an underscore _ within the entered text.
for example %12345 or 123_5 or even %12__5
Enter the Full Registration and press search or Part Registration and long press search.
NOTE: if the Auto Dash (A-) is checked then then PBM will try and add the dash for you.
If No registration is found you can still log the aircraft using the Registration and Type boxes only.
Here I search (long press search button) for OEI with auto dash checked.
The below image shows that 172 aircraft have been found with the results shown in the table below.
The column format for the results table is:

If in Registration mode the Rq column will be either F (Frame [Green]), R (Scrape [Orange]) or S (Seen [White]).
If in Frames mode the Rq column with either be F (Frame [Green]) or S (Seen [White]).
You can also search for Code, Con No and Other Marks\Fleet No and Hexcode, details can be found in Search Options.
Selecting one of the results in the table will populate the text boxes above, pressing search (short press) again will show a pop up notification with details if you have seen the aircraft or not.
The below images shows I need OE-ICA and have seen OE-ICB, OE-ICF shows in Orange as Registration mode is selected and is a Scrape.
