PlaneBase Logs Import

Once you have emailed your logs to yourself from within PBMobile you then need to import them into PlaneBase.

Open Multilog using one of the below options:

Option 1 - Select 'Tools' from the menu bar and then 'Multilog' (Image below).

Option 2 - Select the 'Log It' button then 'Multilog' towards the bottom of the 'Log It' panel.

Option 3 - Press F10 on your keyboard to open the 'Multilog' window directly.

Next you need to copy all the text from the PBMobile log email.

The email snip below show aircraft at PBM Test, For easier import into PlaneBase it would be best to email each log as you leave the spotting location.

The PBM log initially displays the operator held in the PlaneBase databases.

When processing the PBM log in Multilog, the operator held in PlaneBase will be displayed. To use the operator held in the PBM log (which may have been edited), select 'Use Opr from PBM Log' option in the Multilog options panel.

Should ICAO operator codes be displayed in the PBM log, these can be excluded from the Multilog display by selecting 'Exclude PBM ICAO Opr', in which case the full operator name held in PlaneBase will be displayed.

NOTE: Aircraft logged using the Mks or Reserved Registration will not import but will show in the unknowns to the to right of the Multilog window, these will need logging manually.

Locations are not imported as users may use locations not found within the PlaneBase master files.

With the Multilog screen if you press the PBM button the data will be imported ready for processing.

Registrations and Date are imported,

Next add your location and press Process List.

Any notes in the PBMobile Log will be added to the Multilog display and appended to the notes held within PlaneBase when logged.

Check down the list and if all looks ok press the Log button.

Once logs have been imported then rebuild a new PBData.pbm file and copy it to your device as explained.
